A fire Sunday in a south Edmonton apartment that left one person with serious injuries is being investigated as an arson.
Firefighters were called after smoke was seen billowing from a window on the sixth floor of a residential building near 24 Avenue and 104 Street just before 5 a.m. It was brought under control at 5:55 a.m.
The occupant of the burning suite jumped out of the sixth-floor window and is in hospital with serious injuries.
The blaze was contained to a single suite.
Police spokesman Scott Pattison said Monday the investigation is ongoing.
