A man wanted in connection to the shooting death of a Calgary man outside of an Edmonton nightclub March 27 has turned himself in to police.
Arman Dhillon, 21, went to police headquarters in downtown Edmonton at around 10 a.m. Tuesday, accompanied by a lawyer.
Police had issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.
Amin Mohammed Abdullahi, 30, was fatally shot outside of the Tribute Lounge at 8111 105 St. around 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 27. Police said shots were fired after an argument between two groups at the bar escalated.
Abdullahi died in hospital.
Family members said a second man shot at the scene who suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries was Abdullahi’s brother, Bilal, who lives in Edmonton.
Dhillon is facing 21 charges including first-degree murder, attempted murder while using a restricted firearm and aggravated assault.
Abdullahi’s killing was one of six homicides over six days in Edmonton.
