If you can’t get enough of winter, Brock Tyler‘s plaintive folk-ish single, City Lights, makes several mentions of the season — with references to “cold December dark” and “Christmas moon.”
Their video, shot by Joel Tolhurst at the Central Baptist Church, is the polar opposite of Tupelo Honey’s snow-themed Halo — simple, indoors, live, and black and white — yet no less inviting. “Everything I do .. is for you,” sings Tyler, with extra whispers provided by Becky McClelland.
(You might also notice two Batke brothers, one Aaron Parker and one Aidan Lucas-Buckland in the video.)
City Lights is featured on Tyler’s EP, LIGHTS, released last December on Kinsella Recordings.
