Joey Restaurant Group, the Canadian restaurant chain with multiple locations in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario, has a summer fundraiser to gather donations for community groups and charities.
Scoop of Care kicks off Monday, Aug. 1. All month, $1 from each scoop of the chain’s Spun Daily Ice Cream will be donated to a local charity or cause, as chosen by Joey employees. The ice cream is made with liquid nitrogen, rendering the product extremely creamy in its texture. The ice cream is available in flavours from salted caramel to strawberry jam.
In Edmonton, Joey South Edmonton Common has chosen to support the Canadian Mental Health Association, Edmonton region. Joey Sherwood Park and Joey Bell Tower have selected the Foundation Youth Centre and Joey Mayfield is helping Terra Centre, which offers a fathering program geared toward dads 24 years old or younger, as well as their children and families in Edmonton.
Joey hopes to raise $20,000 in total through its locations.
