A 45-year-old man is dead after his car collided with a tractor on a central Alberta highway on Thursday evening.
RCMP were called to the scene of a collision on Highway 20 south of Township Road 432, northeast of Rimbey, at about 9:20 p.m.
Police believe the car was travelling south when it crossed into the opposite lane at a curve in the highway, colliding with a northbound tractor.
The driver of the car was taken to an Edmonton hospital by air ambulance, but he later died of his injuries.
The driver of the tractor, 62, was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
