Maskwacis RCMP are investigating the death of a man found inside of a residence on the Pigeon Lake First Nation as a homicide.
Police were called by Emergency Medical Services to a home on the Pigeon Lake First Nation on Saturday at 2:35 p.m. where a man was found unresponsive.
The man, a resident of the Pigeon Lake First Nation, was dead.
The K Division Major Crimes South has taken over the investigation with the assistance of the Maskwacis General Investigation Section, the Maskwacis Crime Reduction Unit and the Red Deer Forensic Investigation Section.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
