When two men were arguing in the Churchill LRT station in Edmonton, a punch was thrown and a man fell unconscious onto the tracks on April 7, 2017.
Just then, an approaching train signalled its bell and Christopher Sampson leapt into action.
He jumped onto the tracks, and with an unknown bystander, helped lift the man to safety. Sampson wasn’t able to get off the tracks, but the train stopped in time. Sampson received a bravery award from the Royal Canadian Humane Association in Edmonton on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017.
