Animethon 25 is being held at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton Aug. 10-12. Canada’s longest-running anime convention, which started in 1994, continues all weekend. Anime refers specifically to animation from Japan or as a Japanese-disseminated animation style often characterized by colourful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastical themes.
