Drugs and firearms have been seized after Maskwacis RCMP executed three search warrants on the Ermineskin and Samson Cree Nations this week.
Police seized guns, ammunition and crack cocaine after conducting a search on the rural Samson Cree Nation, RCMP said in a Thursday news release.
Robbie Redcrow, 30, is facing multiple charges.
In addition, cocaine and methamphetamine were seized after RCMP conducted two searches at the nearby Ermineskin townsite.
RCMP said charges are now pending in both of those cases.
The searches took place between Feb. 12 and Feb. 13.
“These searches are an example of targeted, intelligence-led investigations leading to the successful removal of drugs and firearms from the streets,” said Sgt. Gary Maclaren in the release.
Maskwacis is about 100 kilometres south of Edmonton.
