Chloe Albert is no stranger to the readers of the Edmonton Journal.

In March, we followed the singer-songwriter to the Junos in Winnipeg, where she was nominated for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year. (Her entry, Dream Catcher, lost to Johnny Reid’s A Christmas Gift To You.)

We then caught up with Albert at the Edmonton Music Awards in April, where she won three honours — Album of the Year, Roots Artist of the Year, and Female Artist of the Year.

She laid relatively low for much of the summer, but she’s now re-emerging with her side project, The Carolines, featuring co-vocalists Lesley Pelletier and Katie Perman. The trio are releasing a self-titled EP of country covers, produced by Stew Kirkwood, on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Queen Alexandra Hall, 10425 University Avenue. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $21.75 at Tix on the Square or 780-420-1757.
