Mac DeMarco‘s Salad Days didn’t win the Polaris Music Prize, but the Edmonton-bred joker did impress viewers and fans with his rendition of Still Together at Monday’s gala in Toronto.

Polaris jurors ended up awarding the $30,000 prize to throat singer Tanya Tagaq‘s mighty Animism, which was released on Six Shooter Records, the same folks behind Edmonton’s music festival, Interstellar Rodeo. Click here for her Polaris performance.
