Volbeat and Anthrax are heading your way — on May 1, 2015 at Revolution Place. Which means you don’t have to make the drive down to Edmonton for the metal pair’s May 2 stop at Rexall Place. (Unless, of course, you REALLY REALLY want to see ‘em again.)
Tickets for both shows will go on sale: Friday, Oct. 31 via the city of Grande Prairie’s site and Ticketmaster (Edmonton).
Volbeat is Denmark’s most popular musical export since (shudder) ’90s pop stars Aqua. Edmonton, in particular, seems to have a special affinity for the metal musicians. More Volbeat albums are sold here than any other city in Canada, according to Universal Music Canada.
Anthrax, of course, is one of America’s most cherished metal acts of the ’80s. (Though I’m not sure if that’s the right verb to use for this genre.)
