A car and a freight train collided in the Coronet Industrial area on Monday, prompting police to temporarily close 91st Street to traffic.
Just before 2:30 p.m. Monday, a Toyota Yaris hit a Canadian Pacific engine in a level crossing at 91st Street and 60th Avenue, according to the Edmonton Police Service and CP Rail.
No one was injured in the incident, police said. The driver was the sole occupant of the Yaris.
All cars of the northbound freight train remained on the track, CP Rail spokesman Jeremy Berry said.
