The Montreal folk-punks were supposed to perform Saturday, Sept. 21 at Wunderbar, but they’ve had to cancel the gig — and their Canadian tour — so frontman Rick Reid can focus on his health.
He suffered a nervous breakdown a few days before their Edmonton show, according to the band’s Facebook page.
“We will be out of commission for the next month as Rick will be entering rehab upon returning to Montreal,” reads the post. “We apologize to the fans/bands/promoters/journalists who were looking forward to this.”
Don’t worry about us … Reid’s health is top priority!
He and bassist Matt Leddy used to be members of The City Streets — one of the first batch of Edmonton bands and performers to move to Montreal earlier this century.
