A man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after police and emergency vehicles responded to reports of a gunshot in the northwest Edmonton on Friday.
Police were at a set of apartment building in the area of 132 Avenue and 125 Street shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday.
“We received a call from a male who said he had been shot. Upon arrival he was in non-life-threatening condition, he spoke to us and was transported to the hospital,” said acting Staff Sgt. Mike Zapdryniek.
After speaking to the victim, police began looking for a suspect but gave no description.
“We have an idea of who our suspect is and we’re just trying to figure out where those individuals might be,” said Zapdryniek. “Right now as far as we know there is no threat to the immediate public.”
